Have you been nervous about keying the mic during your flight lessons? Or hesitant to join online ATC networks such as PilotEdge or VATSIM?

If so, we invite you to join us for a free opportunity to practice your Class D VFR ATC communications with the help of an online CFI (certified flight instructor)!

This will be a great way to get your feet wet and build your confidence talking on the radio. You’re welcome to join regardless of your experience level. Ask all your questions and experiment with radio calls in a friendly, low-stress, and conversational environment.

You don’t need to worry about getting in the way of other traffic or if you’re not sure what to say on the radio. We’re here to help provided guided repetition to get you comfortable with FAA-recommended ATC phraseology and procedures.

When is the next event?

  • Wednesday, December 21
  • Anytime between 7 – 8:30 PM Eastern (0000-0130 UTC)

Where does the event take place?

  • In the Flight Sim Coach Discord server
  • Simulated ATC provided at the Danbury (KDXR) and Bridgeport (KBDR) airports
Come and practice flying at/between the class D airports. Get comfortable with all types of taxi instructions, traffic pattern procedures, or even emergency radio calls. If you would like, we can also set emergencies remotely using FSC Link

You can connect at any time during this event and fly as much or as little as you want.

Click here for instructions to join the event (and to RSVP). To ensure we can provide high-quality support, the number of spots is limited (generally a maximum of 5 per event), so please RSVP as soon as possible and let us know if your plans change. We will update this page once all slots are taken.
