About me

I’m a long-time flight sim user with extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of flight simulation hardware and software. I can help you build a flight simulator setup that fits your goals and budget.

I own an engineering consulting company and have extensive flight experience. I started flying as a junior in high school and went to ATP Flight School to become a CFI, CFII, and MEI.

I also started a flight school which I grew to become one of the largest ones in Tennessee. During that time, I was able to attain approximately 3000 flight hours in a wide variety of aircraft, from float planes to business jets. I have experience with tailwheel and high-performance aircraft, as well as flying aerobatics and into grass strips.

VR (Virtual Reality) has been a focal point of my recent work, and one of my recent projects is the flight simulator system for the Red Bull Air Race, which allows the flight controls of an actual aircraft to be used as a USB input with flight simulator programs like X-Plane or MFS2020.

Flight sim software experience: X-Plane, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS), AeroFly FS2, Prepar3D, FlightGear, DCS, Air Manager

Flight sim hardware experience: Honeycomb, Logitech / Saitek, CH Products, Thrustmaster, Gleim, Redbird, Turtle Beach, Arduino Based (MobiFlight, FreeJoy, etc), Various VR devices
