“My first FlightSimCoach session and it was really a great experience. Jordan was very easy to discuss issues with and never seemed to be “talking down” to me as has happened on various forums and help sites. Had sent him a “bullet list” of issues/problems I needed help with. All the issues/problems were software related. There was no how to fly or navigate issues for this session. He was well prepared and resolved each bullet quickly and explained what was happening and why. After sending the “bullet list” but before our session MSFS2020 just quit. It would not open/boot. Jordan took on this surprise issue first during the session and resolved the issue. Will consider Jordan to be my go to resource for any assistance with MSFS2020.”

As it was my first online session and my sim (MFS24) was new to me, and having moved across from P3d v5, there was some time in getting to know how things worked, but once this was established Jordan worked very quickly to rectify a number of issues I was experiencing with configuring my peripheral hardware including my Bravo Throttle Quadrant etc. I have a fairly complicated sim system with multi panels and Winwing units. “I became familiar with Flight Sim Coach when I registered for the free ground school class. The class is not as in-depth as the Sportys’ course, but I thought the use of the flight simulator was very clever and very useful in explaining the concepts involved. The class convinced me that the flight simulator could be a valuable tool in earning a pilot certificate and I decided to schedule a personal session. I have had two sessions with Jordan and they are absolutely worth the investment in my opinion. My flight controls sensitivity was way out of whack and Jordan was able to correct that in short order. He also gave me some valuable tips on how to avoid over-controlling with the simulator. We also discussed differences between the physical airplane and the simulator and how to account for these differences when training. My plan is to continue to use the simulator and engage Jordan’s help in utilizing the simulator to enhance and complement my physical flight training. I think that the ability to practice what you’ve been learning in the plane on the flight simulator is very beneficial as long as you’re doing it correctly. That’s where Jordan/FSC comes in to play. An important aspect of the flight sim is to use it to reinforce what you’re learning in the plane and it has to be used correctly to get the reinforcement desired. Thanks to Jordan I know that I will be getting the proper reinforcement from the sim to help me in the actual plane. I wanted to mention also that I have MSFS running on an xBox. This presents a number of challenges for the FSC instructor, but Jordan was able to overcome each of those challenges so that we could proceed with the training. “As just a beginner in siming, I had put together a flight Sim “cockpit” with MSFS 2024, a tower, Alpha, Bravo, & peddles. Everything seemed to be going well, until I found that the Bravo quadrant was not functioning. With the help of You Tube videos I discovered that the Bravo was physically connecting. “Flight Sim Coach – Support with Jordan Gottfried As a newbe to simulator setup I had been wrestling with a number of issues that seemed to be doing a convincing imitation of ‘Whack-a-mole’! Frustrated with uncertain results, I was fortunate enough to have learned of Flight Sim Coach and their support and coaching services. I scheduled a session with Jordan Gottfried – What A Relief! I did my best to explain a laundry list of issues in an email. Jordan soon responded with confident assurance that nothing in the list was anything that would be insurmountable. While I was optimistic, I was also a tad skeptical as I had had ‘computer guy’ friends that had also worked on the set up. It was a treat to work with Jordan as he quickly, methodically, and confidently remedied all of the issues (as well as a few issues I was not aware of) I had listed. As an (additional) plus, while Jordan slayed the many issues – big and small – he shared insights and suggestions as to how, when and why things should be done – on the simulator as well as in flight!
