I have been an FAA flight instructor since 2015 and have taught private, instrument, commercial, and multi-engine students. I have been flying flight simulators since 1995. I am easy-going, patient, and comfortable teaching basic to advanced topics on general aviation, airline, and DCS aircraft.

I served in the US Navy for 10 years as an aerospace engineer, and I have thousands of hours as a real-world flight instructor and pilot. I currently fly the CRJ-900 for the airlines, and general aviation planes as a CAP volunteer and instructor.

I am happy to help real-world flight students, sim enthusiasts, or those interested in Naval Aviation in DCS to learn and reach their goals. I have been using home flight simulation for my own training and to teach others since 2008.

“Nick is an awesome instructor and lessons have been structured exactly as wanted. His experience as a commercial pilot is invaluable. Nick has catered to my requests, some lessons being practical and others answering my theory questions. He has enabled me startup to shutdown fly a complete flight in MSFS2020 a 747 to any airport having no prior experience. Thank you!

“Setup worked well! Now I have to learn XPlane. Nick was great, with a lot of patience with the 3 aircraft we needed to set up. We will be working together again.”

“Nick was extremely knowledgeable in all areas of flight sim. He’s a true professional and took the time to install, reconfigure, teach, and explain flight sim controls, and software. He is knowledgeable in both DCS and MSFS. It was great to have him as my instructor, and he’s a Navy guy just like I’m and share the same enthusiasm for all things aviation. I’m looking forward to booking another session to continue to learn to fly. Thanks.”

“The ATC course was fantastic. Having it led by someone who has experience working with ATC as well as someone that participated in ATC online activities as an amateur controller was really helpful. Nick was great in teaching the course by not only covering the material that was included in the displayed presentations, but relating some of his real world experiences. Thanks to Nick and the course material, I’m at least not paralyzed at the thought of talking to ATC any longer.”
