About Me

I’ve been in love with aviation for as long as I can remember. One of my first memories in aviation was receiving Microsoft Flight Simulator 1995 as a gift in the early 2000s. My fascination for aviation was immediate and since then, flying and flight simulators have been a continuing part of my life both as a hobby and professionally.

I started flight training in 2017 in Austin, Texas, and earned my private pilot certificate in early 2018. I spent the next few years flying as a hobby with friends and family around Texas while saving money to attend full-time pilot training. In 2020 I began full time pilot training earning my Commercial Airplane Single Engine and Multiengine ratings, Instrument rating, as well as my Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, and Multiengine Instructor ratings. I currently have given over 1000 hours of real-world flight instruction.

Throughout my training, I regularly used my home simulator as a tool to supplement real-world training, practicing new concepts and improving skills without the need to pay for additional flight time. After completing training, I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to begin instructing full-time and continue to encourage my students to use home simulators as a tool to supplement their real-world flight training.

Flight Sim Coach is a natural fit to help share my passion for aviation and the value of home simulators in real-world flight training and as a rewarding hobby. I like to keep things light and positive in the cockpit and think humor and fun are an important part of making learning effective and enjoyable.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you toward your next aviation goal!

“Patrick went above and beyond to fix my MSFS 2020 problems, don’t waist days to read forums to figure out what is wrong with your simulator, just hire flight sim coach and you’ll be good to go in no time. Thank you guys!”

“I couldn’t have asked for more from Patrick. He’s a great lad with tonnes of knowledge. He had my sim set-up configured and rolling within minutes and then took the time to explain and test and troubleshoot everything. A week later, at my next real-world PPL lesson, my instructor said the difference in my landings was night and day and he sent me for my second solo with full confidence. Thank you, Patrick. I’m sure we’ll work together again. It was a pleasure.”

“The sessions are very valuable! Its nice to be able to pause what you are doing to discuss a topic, you can’t do that in the air! You can review a topic thoroughly and without rushing it. In a way this is money better spent than paying for rental fees and fuel in order to practice. Patrick is great!”

“Great flight sim coaching session with Patrick — Really appreciated having him be CFI in the virtual “right seat” of my home sim as I use X-Plane to supplement my PPL proficiency program. I picked up some good tips that I will apply both in the sim and in the air.”

“The coaching session was extremely valuable in configuring my simulated training aircraft setup to perform in a more realistic manner. Also, Patrick was able to resolve an issue I connecting Foreflight and XPlane12. It was an hour of invaluable insights into XPlane12 and its various offerings.”

“My session with Patrick was absolutely awesome. Flying with VR in MSFS using VATSIM for controlling changed my flightsim world. As a perpetual private pilot in training, this was the most realistic experience next to the real thing. The only thing missing was the loud rumble and vibration of the engine, sensory orientation and the smell of aviation fuel.”
